We have moved 6 times and it has always been a difficult experience for our family we were referred to Allwright moving Systems by our companies human resources department. We went through the motions with the three estimates. Allwright was not the least expensive they were the most professional. The Woman that came out was pleasant and focused on our needs we liked that we didnt get that sales pitch or the push to sign the agreement. Allwright was not the least expensive and we chose them anyway because we felt we would get the best service from them and we ended up having the best move we could have hoped for the moving service was excellent. I was extremely grateful HR allowed us to pick our preferred mover. The packers came the first day and completely covered our floors, banisters and entryways, the worked quickly and efficiently literally wrapping everything they packed, meticulously labeled everything with rooms and items (that made delivery a breeze) they were polite and professional and kept their focus on the job at hand, we have a large home, it took two up two big trucks moving from the out of the state so there was a lot to be done in a short amount of time. The four that packed were amazing, everything arrived safely! The Allwright drivers were the most impressive they arrived early parked out front came up and asked if we needed the use of our driveway that morning, I couldnt believe they cared if I needed my car that day! It was nice to be able to run my errands without worry. The move loaded a half a day ahead of schedule and they even vacuumed the entire house and swept the garage. My husband is tough when it comes to giving feedback believe me and even he commented on how good things seemed to be going. Delivery was much the same. Im still in awe of how much they cared about MY home and MY belongings, almost like they were moving their own prized possessions. In all of our previous moves the movers left I had boxes to deal with for days, WEEKS! Allwright did not leave one single box in my house in fact I had to ask to keep a couple of the boxes to store somethings away. They even mounted my plasma on the wall for me (thank goodness!). Assembled everything, my clock, the huge play set from the back yard and anything else that had to be taken apart to move it all went back together like you were rewinding a tape! In the 6 moves we have had we didnt expect anything close to the service and genuine concern, Allwrights office called us twice a day to make sure things were on par what we thought was going to be another cumbersome pain turn out to be a delightful challenge for our family and we were off and running in our new home when the trucks pulled away. The price we were quoted? The actual came in a little less and we were reimbursed by our company with no hassles! We know who to call for our next move! Thanks to the ENTIRE TEAM at Allwright!!

I've used movers in the past and it has been a complete nightmare, from them arriving late to damaging my furniture. Allwright on the other hand made moving a breeze. The sales woman impressed me from the start by showing up on time and being able to give me an estimate right there on the first visit to my home. I was looking a several moving companies at the time and each one of the other sales people talked negatively about their competition. Allwright's sales woman did just the opposite. That showed me that she had a lot confidence in her company. The guys showed up promptly at 8a.m. just as they said they would. The driver was so friendly and knowledgeable he knew more about my furniture than I did. They proceeded to blanket all of my furniture in the room and take it out in a timely manner. At my new home they went through and protected my floors with cardboard and plastic so they would not track any dirt in on my new white carpets. They delivered everything just as it was at the other house while not getting one spec of dirt on my WHITE carpet. They were so efficient in loading and unloading my furniture that it actually saved me money. I don't feel that enough could be said about Allwright's staff and services. They made one of the most stressful times in my life a breeze. Thank you so much!!!

We had used a Mayflower mover/driver three years ago. The experience was topnotch. Naturally, we called on him again for this latest (1,700 mile) move out of state. Unfortunately, he was unavailable. He referred us to Allwright moving. Only thing we can say is bad "move" on our part. The rep asked us what all was going to be moved. While walking through the house the list was given to her on the phone - this list included an antique German grandfather clock. Admittedly, we had no way of knowing how many boxes we' d be sending, as we were still packing. (Plus we were having the huge moving sale the Friday and Saturday prior to the move on the following Monday). After I gave her everything, she "guestimated" the weight of the shipment. We didn't end up selling a grill, and a sofa and chair. So we decided to move them. But trust us when we say this grill, sofa and chair do not weigh 2,500 pounds! When the driver arrived, he took a look and said in my experience, I'd say you have more like TWICE the weight she gave you. He asked what the local rep told us. I told him no one local ever came! He looked at me with a mix of pity and disbelief. We called Allwright's office. She said with that much weight (now "guestimated" at 5,000 pounds) our price would be $3,271 - bottom line - with all taxes, fees, etc. (We've since been told it's nearly $3,500!) The final weight - according to them - is 5020 pounds - 20 pounds more. How is it that 20 pounds equates to an additional $200 ?!? Plus the driver said to be sure to tell the Allwright office we should be getting a credit off the final bill because they were charging us for wardrobes and dish packs that were not used. I emailed that information to the rep. Instead, she sent a list of all the additional items we ended up shipping...stuff we don't even OWN! As to the grandfather clock, they were going out of the door with it, NOT EVEN WRAPPED! Our first Mayflower mover packed it so nicely in a special grandfather clock box with all the necessary packing! The driver said he had not been told about the clock (as well as a number of other items the rep knew about). The person who was our contact has a selective memory. When she was reminded of the fact she was going to have a local rep contact us to give a better estimate, she said we didn't say "OK"! I called a couple of days later and was told our sales rep was out. I told the girl who covers phones for her that I wanted to leave a message and be sure to tell her that we still hadn't heard from a local rep. I was put into the Allwright employee's voice mail box and requested a call back. I didn't repeat the local rep item, as I'd already told it to her staffer. This truck is due day after tomorrow. We are getting nowhere with the Allwright office. We'll have to see what our options are on this incorrect inventory and billing, and then we'll file complaints with everyone we can find. We advise NOT to use Allwright Moving. We are hopeful our items will arrive safely. After the jacked up price and poorly estimated weight, we were unable to buy extra insurance. (We'll update this posting as to the outcome - the condition of items as well as the financial end.) The Allwright people SEEM nice enough in the beginning, but when it gets down to the finale, double and triple check your inventory and hold onto your checkbook!! ...to be continued...

My husband and I were horribly disappointed with our move using Allwright Moving Systems (AMS) as the origin moving company. We thought that the move would go smoothly since AMS was assigned to us through Mayflower - which is generally known to be a reputable moving company. However, AMS provided us with terrible service and we would never recommend them to anyone else. On our move: - Office staff would not return phone calls or emails. - On moving day the AMS movers chose to sit in their vehicle instead of calling to see why the truck was delayed; several hours were wasted. - AMS was EXTREMELY CARELESS with our goods. I watched several boxes crash onto the sidewalk as a mover chose to roll our boxes down a hill on a dolly. We heard boxes falling in the hallway as they left our apartment. - The movers DID NOT PROTECT OUR FURNITURE. Two desks, a dresser, antique furniture, etc. were badly damaged. Destination movers told us AMS movers REMOVED ALL THE FURNITURE PADDING and crammed the furniture together, resulting in the damage. - We spent weeks filing a claim, which was a headache. If we hadn?t purchased full-value coverage we would have lost thousands of dollars. - AMS is NOT HONEST. They charged us extra money for things that never happened, and I had to call Corporate to get the bill corrected. I think Mayflower as a whole is probably still a reputable company, but AllWright Moving Systems definitely is NOT. The company is irresponsible and doesn?t care about the people moving or goods it is responsible for. If you are moving to/from Milwaukee and are considering using Mayflower (or its partner company, United Van Lines), please do yourself a favor and do NOT use Allwright Moving Systems as one of your movers.
